James (Jim) LeRoy Boyd, Jr., 90 (March 1, 1933-November 26, 2023) Dual Member.

He was the Organizing President and a Charter Member of the Fernando de Leyba Chapter.  He held a life-time Dual Membership with the Fernando de Leyba Chapter.  He was a primary member with the Spirit of St. Louis Chapter. Interment was at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.

Dr. Jerry Lee Cook, age 80, of St. Peter’s, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 in Creve Coeur, Missouri. He was born in Fairfield, Iowa on October 3, 1942 to Wilford and Eula Cook (Nordyke) who were lifelong farmers.

David Philip DePew, 77 (June 18, 1930 – June 25, 2007)

He joined the SAR and the Fernando de Leyba Chapter on April 4, 2001.  Interment was held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Larry J. Magerkurth, 85 (1937 - December 13, 2022) 108th NSSAR President General –- 2011-2012

A former Dual Member of MOSSAR and the Fernando de Leyba Chapter. He passed away in Indian Wells, California.  He was a former Dual Member of the Missouri Society, SAR and the Fernando de Leyba Chapter.  He was sworn in as the 108th NSSAR President General by Chancellor General Thomas E. Lawrence at the 121st National Congress (July 8-13, 2011) held in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Milan became an SAR Member through MOSSAR Spirit of St. Louis Chapter on February 2, 2007.  He became a dual member of the Fernando de Leyba Chapter on October 8, 2012.  He became a full member of the Fernando de Leyba Chapter in February 2017.

Rogers, 92, (April 7, 1931 – November 5, 2023) United States Air Force and service in the Korean War,  Robert’s interest in history led him to trace his lineage back to the Revolutionary War and membership in the Sons of the American Revolution, Fernando de Leyba (St. Charles) Chapter.  (Download Obituary)
