Ed Morris

Ray Edward (Ed) Morris 78 (August 13, 1933 - September 21, 2011) was the loving husband of Barbara J. Morris (nee Hindson); dear father of Sheryl (Joe) Heggi, Laura Morris and Keith (Amy) Morris; dear grandfather of Lauren (Justin) Thorp, Erin and Patrick Heggi; dear brother of Harriet O'Dwyer and the late Dr. Robert Morris; loving brother-in-law of Alyce Morris; and dear uncle of Ron, Alyson and Michael.  He was a proud member of The Sons of the American Revolution and served in the Color Guard for many years. Ed joined the SAR on May 7, 2003.  He and his wife, Barb, attended meetings faithfully.  Rare was the meeting without his presence.  He and his wife were residents of Manchester, MO.  Ed had been diagnosed with cancer but had undergone radiation treatment and was found to be cancer-free.  His sudden and unexpected death was due to complications from the cancer treatment.  A funeral service was held at the West County Assembly of God Church, 13431 N. Outer 40 Road, Chesterfield, MO 63017-5999 on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m.  Visitation was at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.  In lieu of flowers, contributions were requested to be made to the West County Assembly of God.  Interment was at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Ed will be greatly missed.
